The beginning

A love that almost cost a life.

My beekeeping journey began in 2008, when I started with four colonies. Within a few years the apiary grew to 40 production colonies and 12 reserves, and later to 70+.

While preparing for further expansion, I developed a severe, life-threatening allergic reaction to bee stings. This forced me to stop active beekeeping on such a scale.

The first spring without bees brought the realization that bees are part of my life and I couldn't do without them. Treatment takes a long time, so the only quick solution was to find a suit that would protect me and give me back my peace of mind.

The road to a solution

Three steps that changed everything.

From empty shelves in Slovenia to the first suit that met every expectation.

The search

There was no suitable solution in Slovenia. The only 3-layer mesh suit I had seen was at a friend's abroad, and back then it was almost unattainable here.

First attempts

I ordered samples from Pakistan, but was disappointed. This happened three times before a change of strategy was needed.

Collaboration and development

Together with a reliable manufacturer, we brought 3-layer suits to market. They were an absolute novelty that people often laughed at at first, but today they are the standard that dramatically reduces the chance of stings.

Modularity and safety

All suits feature YKK zippers and allow attachment of any protective hood (round hat or astronaut-style), each with an additional head support.
